About this Dog
2/14/2024Gracie IV is a silver heart looking for a new home.Hi! My name is Gracie IV! I am a beautiful 12.5-year-old sugar-faced fawn girl that is an owner surrender due to my current owner having medical problems that make it hard for her to care for me. I am part of the Silver Heart program so be sure to ask about it because it has many perks for my adoptive family! I am described as friendly, active, smart, and playful! I get nervous when it rains even if I am under a covered patio. Clanging of metal and cage doors scare me and will make me flinch. I have lived with a dog in the past but because of my personality, we would have to be fed separately and I would get jealous if I got less attention than the resident dog. I board at the vet at least once a year and I enjoy playtime with other dogs with no problems! There are currently no kids in my home however I grew up with my original owner since she was 12 years old and we were fine. I do tend to jump in excitement but it’s unsure if I would jump on a child. I have never lived with a cat so it is uncertain if I am feline friendly. I am house trained and crate trained but as I get older my bladder gets weaker and I do have occasional accidents if I am not let out. At night I sleep in a kennel inside and when the humans must be away and I am left alone, I am fine. When I am outside, I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, boxer ‘boxing’, and sunbathing! When I receive attention, I get energetic. My current owner says I am “a sweet dog” and is hoping I find my forever family soon. If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and tell them you want to meet Silver Heart Gracie IV because I am waiting to meet you!
