About this Dog
Hi! My name is Linford, or as my foster family calls me "Lucky"! I am a 6-year-old handsome fawn boy that was found as a stray in the Valley (South Texas) and suspected that I lived my life outside without love and attention. That is behind me now and I am thriving in my foster home! When first coming into the rescue I was a very sick boy. It was determined I was heart worm positive, had kennel cough, and very emaciated. When I first arrived at my foster home I collapsed but after being evaluated by the vet, it was determined I am otherwise a healthy boy with no other issues or concerns and doing so much better now! I am house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I am a laid-back guy that gets along with humans and dogs! I have medium energy and have moments where I love to play but then nap like a couch potato with the family. I like playing or relaxing with the humans and sleeping with the two kids (ages 11 and 13 years) in their beds! I currently live with two resident boys and a resident girl dog. After learning that I can trust them and they won't hurt me, we became best friends and I share well with them. I love to play tug, chase, or face nibble with them! Because of my high prey drive, I would do best in a home without cats, small dogs, or small animals. If you think I would be a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!If you're interested in fostering a dog, please fill out the Foster Application https://austinboxerrescue.com/ways-to-help/foster/ If you're interested in adopting a dog, please fill out the Adoption Application http://austinboxerrescue.com/adoption-application/Our volunteers will work with you to find the best dog for your home.

Adopt Linford and Receive Linford's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Linford's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Linford's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Linford, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Linford's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Linford was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Linford’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Linford’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Linford’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
