About this Dog
6/7/2025Gus Walters is an owner surrender looking for a new home.Hi! My name is Gus Walters! I am a handsome 6.5-year-old flashy fawn boy that is an owner surrender due to my family downsized and I no longer am getting along with the other dog in the home. I am described as friendly, active, playful, and protective! I am selective on my dog friends, especially in small spaces and if they play too rough so a proper meet and greet is encouraged, but I would do best as an only dog. I currently live with six kids (ages 6-15 years old) and do well with them! I have never lived with a cat so it is uncertain if I am feline friendly and would need a proper introduction. I am house trained, crate trained, and at night I sleep on the human's bed or in my kennel! If the humans must be away and I am left alone, I am initially vocal because I want to go with them, but I will eventually lay down and sleep and am not destructive. I do not like lawnmowers and will start barking at them when they are being operated. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/ gates. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, playing tug of war with rope toys, squeaky toys, and walks! I will even howl in joy when I squeak my squeaky toys! If you think I would be a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gus Walters's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Gus Walters's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Gus Walters, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Gus Walters's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gus Walters was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gus Walters’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gus Walters’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gus Walters’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
