About this Dog
01/14/2025Hi! My name is Duke IX ! I am a handsome 8 year old flashy fawn boy that was an owner surrender due to a family member's decline in health and my family was unable to care for me any longer. I am described as friendly, active, smart, calm, playful, affectionate, and obedient! I am dog friendly but have not lived with cats so it is unsure if I am feline friendly. I lived with a 2 year old human kid and do well with him! I am house trained, crate trained, and at night I sleep on a dog bed. When the humans were away I got lonely and sad because I love being with them. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences. I am fearful of loud noises such as thunder or fireworks. Some of my favorite things are chew toys, tug of war ropes, squeaky toys, playing fetch, exploring outside, smelling new scents, being active, tasty snacks, special treats, puzzle feeders, belly rubs, ear scratches, and quality time with the humans! If I sound like your guy, contact the rescue today and tell them you are interested in Duke IX because I am waiting to meet you!

Adopt Duke IX and Receive Duke IX's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Duke IX's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Duke IX's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Duke IX, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Duke IX's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Duke IX was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Duke IX’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Duke IX’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Duke IX’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
