About this Dog
Still looking to rehome this sweet girl. She's an amazing dog, but she would be better in a home without young kids. She does not need to be the only dog and would be great in a home with only one other male dog. Her forever home would be with someone that is an experienced owner of pitbull type dogs and loves them and keeps clear boundaries. She would do well with older kids that respect dogs and their boundaries. Her alpha personality comes out after some time. I've had her for over a year and rescued her when she was pregnant without knowing she was pregnant. The main reason for rehoming is because she resource guards my daughter and has turned on my other dog causing a large fight I could not safely break up. To be clear, she has not shown any aggression towards my daughter and is very friendly with invited guests. It is out of an abundance of caution I am looking for a new home for her. She's had 5 weeks of sleep away obedience training using the sit-means-sit method, so it's not a matter of training. Additionally, she's very protective of her home. She's friendly to whoever you let into your home, but if she's off-leash and feels she needs to protect you she will probably bite someone. She does have a bite history with this scenario. She witnessed her previous owner get attacked by someone in their home, so it makes sense why she's like this. Again, she's an amazing dog and if I could handle all this right being a single mom of an 8 month old with 2 more pit bulls... I would invest the time she needs. Sadly, that is not the case. She's friendly with other dogs, but again, she can resource guard so toys with strange dogs in the park are not a good idea. I will keep her until the right home comes along. I didn't intend on keeping her when I rescued her and since then she's been spayed. Her name is Piper she thought to be about 3 years old and she's a lovely sweetheart. She’s up-to-date on vaccines. She’s extremely obedient and gentle and sweet, but needs boundaries and love. She will come with continued training from Krystal at Mindset and Manners Dog Training as well as her Sit Means Sit e-collar. She is crated trained. Place trained. Muzzle trained and knows all of the typical commands plus "high five and paw". She will be a wonderful dog for the right person. Rehoming fee: $100 Central Austin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Piper's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Piper was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Piper’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
