Starla is a 3-year-old breeder surrender from North Carolina. Like most breeder dogs, Starla is somewhat skittish and dashes away when her foster mom tries to pick her up. However, she has learned to use a ramp to get up/down off the couch and will independently sit beside her foster mom and foster siblings. She knows her name and wags her tail when spoken to. Starla is vocal when left alone at night but will settle down after a little bit; she just wants to be with her person. Starla plays well with toys and her foster siblings – she is mighty cute running zoomies in the back yard with her foster sisters. A home with another young dog is recommended so that Starla can continue to learn to play. Big dogs and young children are not recommended as Starla has never been exposed to large animals and the fast movements, yelling/screaming of young children would likely scare her. During her short life as a breeder dog living in a crate, this gorgeous precious girl deserves a loving home where she will be cherished and spoiled. Must haves for beautiful little Starla include: A fenced yard Another young, small, well-socialized dog she can learn from and play with An owner who is home more often than not No apartments, high-rises, or condos as Starla is a vocal dachshund and needs a fenced yard.
