About this Cat
Estimated Date of Birth 4/29/24 Lieutenant Dan is a cat who proves that life is like a box of churu treats—you never know which flavor you're gonna get, but it’s always worth the ride! Just like his namesake, Lt Dan has had his fair share of challenges. This resilient boy was found outdoors with paralyzed back legs, but after some TLC and laser treatments, he’s now walking, jumping, using the litter box and living his best nine lives. While Lieutenant Dan will take some time to adjust to his new home, he’s the kind of cat who’ll stand by you like a true Forrest—loyal, loving, quiet and affectionate. He gets along with other cats and would do best in a calm home where he can relax and enjoy his well-earned peace. So if you’re looking for a little companion who’s overcome the odds and is ready to share his heart (and maybe a few extra churu treats), Lt Dan’s your guy. Adoption fee: $150Lieutenant Dan is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and negative for Feline leukemia and FIV.

Please begin the process of claiming Lieutenant Dan's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lieutenant Dan was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lieutenant Dan’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lieutenant Dan’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lieutenant Dan’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
