Hi… my name is Reagan, and I don’t really understand what’s happening. One minute I was playing with my littermates, feeling warm and safe, and now I’m here in this noisy place, surrounded by so many other dogs. The walls feel so close, and the sounds never stop. It’s all so loud and confusing. I try to be brave, but it’s hard. I just want to go somewhere quiet, somewhere safe. I’m only 3 months old, and I’ve already learned a lot of things I shouldn’t have to. I don’t know why I’m here, and I’m really scared. They say I’m a Jack Russell and Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, which sounds fancy, but I just want to be a puppy. A puppy who gets to play with toys, run in a yard, and feel the warmth of a family. I really like other animals. I think I’d get along with doggie friends, kitty friends, and even people who give me belly rubs. I just want to feel loved. I want to know what it’s like to have a family of my very own, to curl up on a soft bed, not on this cold floor. I want to fall asleep to gentle voices, not loud barks echoing in my ears. The shelter is full, and there’s no room for me here anymore. I’m not sure what that means, but I know it sounds like something scary. I don’t want to be forgotten, I don’t want to stay here alone. Please, I need a home. I need a family to call my own. I’ll be so good, I promise. I’ll play with you, love you, follow you around like the little shadow I am. I just need someone to take me out of here, to show me that life can be safe and full of love. Please… if you have room in your heart and home, I’ll give you all of mine. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Reagan's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Reagan was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Reagan’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Reagan’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Reagan’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
