If you've followed NGPR social media, you may recognize this sweet, fluffy girl who was found this winter on the side of a TN road nursing an awful leg wound after escaping a neglectful home life. She hasn't let her painful past keep her down, however, and she's now experiencing the new comforts of a warm, soft bed, canine foster siblings, and lots of treats and affection. Star is an easy-going and loving girl who enjoys being right next to anyone who will show her the love she deserves. She does well on a leash, is learning to enjoy the car, and is a happy camper meeting humans of all ages and types! Star is a low to medium energy pyr who loves to play with other dogs, have her coat brushed, and keep a watchful eye over her home while sneaking in lots of naps and snuggles. Some of her favorite human foods include salmon and Greek yogurt; she knows she deserves the best from here on out! Star has retained a deep trust of and loyalty to people despite being starved of basic care for much of her short life. She's so grateful for every kindness and she's quickly learning what it means to be someone's baby girl and best friend!
