About this Dog
Meet Ranger (a.k.a. RJ) – The Tripod Superstar with a Heart of Gold ✨ Ranger’s journey hasn’t been easy, but this special boy has faced every challenge with courage, sweetness, and an unshakable spirit. Ranger is a purebred German Shepherd puppy who started life with all the odds stacked against him. After a devastating accident left his back leg shattered, amputation became the only way to save him. Through months of rehab, crate rest, and recovery, Ranger never lost his joyful outlook—or his determination to thrive. Now at about 65 lbs (he’ll likely top out around 80 as an adult), Ranger is proof that three legs are all a dog needs to run, play, and love. He adores playing fetch and obediently bringing it back, chasing and playing with the children in his foster neighborhood, and curling up for belly rubs. He’s also crate trained, house trained, walks well on a leash, and knows basic commands like “sit” and “wait.” and has excellent recall skills. He loves playing with other dogs of all sizes. Even the senior Pug who is bossy. Ranger gets along beautifully with cats and enjoys their company and does occasionally sleep with a few surrounding him at night. He’s smart, playful, and silly—sometimes sneaking onto the bed to “watch movies” with his people. This boy is the complete package: loyal, loving, goofy, and resilient. Whoever adopts him won’t just be getting a dog—they’ll be getting a true survivor and a dog with resilience that is inspiring. What he will bring to you is his BIG HEART and his promise to be your very best friend, and a one of a kind companion. ❤️ Ranger is ready for his forever home—could it be yours? Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at [email protected] He is in Tennessee but is available to go on the transport van to many of the northeastern states. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact [email protected].

Adopt RANGER and Receive RANGER's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, RANGER's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is RANGER's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the RANGER, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming RANGER's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and RANGER was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, RANGER’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the RANGER’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, RANGER’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
