It is hard to figure out why this boy is still here! SPENCER is one fabulous, sweet male in a litter of four male puppies that arrived together at the shelter the latter part of February 2023. They were listed as Lab mixes and were 6 to 7 weeks of age at intake. That was two years ago! Only two of them are left of the original litter. Both are black with minor white markings. SPENCER is the boy on the right in the photo of the two brothers together. They have a blast playing all day long in their kennel. But it is not the same thing as living in a home with a person or family of your own to love.SPENCER still needs to be neutered before he can go home with you as your own. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared!

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and SPENCER was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, SPENCER’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the SPENCER’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, SPENCER’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
