About this Horse
Zippy is a 19 year old, registered quarter horse mare, surrendered when her owner was diagnosed with a life-changing health issue. She was originally purchased through the Lexington QH sale as a 2 year old and spent some years trail riding before being "retired" as a pet for the past decade. Zippy is completing a 30 day tune up and will be officially available for adoption on March 1. She is trail safe and will be appropriate for an advanced beginner rider under instruction (& up). Easy to handle on the ground. Currently in front shoes but farrier and vet feel that she can transition back to barefoot with no issues if adopter desires. Visit safeharborhorses.org to apply to adopt Zippy!
