Meet Rascal!! He is a 3 year old, 16-pound chihuahua mix with the cutest underbite you’ve ever seen. This little guy is the full package: kennel trained, housetrained, and an expert at burrowing under blankets like a cozy little mole. Rascal’s favorite part of the day? Greeting his people with pure joy when they walk through the door and then settling in for a cuddle session. He’s affectionate, charming, and knows how to work those puppy eyes for extra snuggles.Rascal is as easygoing as they come—he gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and even cats. He has excellent manners and a soft spot for meaty wet food toppers (and really, who doesn’t?). This sweet, snuggly boy is ready to find his forever person to adore and share his warm little heart with. Rascal is more than ready to be someone’s best friend!About 3 years old and 16lbsRascal needs a foster or [email protected] dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. We do not have a physical location of our own. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rascal ~'s new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rascal ~ was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rascal ~’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rascal ~’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rascal ~’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
