Meet Rowdy.Yep you guessed it right! He was named after Rowdy Yates, played by Clint Eastwood in the TV series Rawhide. Unlike Clint Eastwood this furry fellow isn’t famous, but he sure is just as handsome. Rowdy’s owner is a senior and is currently in a rehab/nursing home. Rowdy is in need of a temporary foster family and most likely a new permanent home. He will be 6 years old on his upcoming birthday July 31st.Rowdy loves to go on walks, play, get belly rubs, and scratches behind his ears. He’s a little apprehensive when he meets new people but warms of quickly. He does well when left alone but doesn’t mind tagging along too. Please only reach out if you have a calm loving home as that is what he has been used to. He has mostly used puppy pads but is being crate trained now and is catching on quickly. His vet records indicate he is Chihuahua - Short Coat Mix. However, he’s full blood adorable. He weighs 20 lbs and needs to lose about 6 lbs (easily done with daily walks). For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rowdy CP was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rowdy CP’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rowdy CP’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rowdy CP’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
