About this Dog
Say hello to Archie!! This cutie is three years old, UTD on all vaccinations, neutered, completed heartworm treatment and on Nexguard. Archie is definitely a house dog. After he does his business, he looks in the windows until you come for him! Archie loves his people. He runs in reverse in front of you so he knows exactly where you are going - it is adorable. He loves to sit on his bottom next to you, and lean against your shoulder while getting belly rubs. He loves stuffed toys and is learning to retrieve a tennis ball. This sweet baby is ready for a foster or adopter. He loves to play with other dogs. Archie does bark when strangers enter the house. This seems to be more from fear than aggression. Please consider this pup to be a top notch pet and a friend for life. This cutie pie was almost completely shut down when pulled from the pound. He didn’t eat or drink for two days and was lifeless in my lap. Things began to slowly change the third day. Archie liked ear rubs. His appetite began to return and a glimmer of personality started to sparkle. After two weeks with us, he is perfectly happy with non stop petting in my lap! He hops backward if he wants to get away quickly! Archie’s loves chew toys and piles them up in his favorite chair. He gets along really well with our senior JRT. This baby won’t let you get out of sight!! He needs more time in a good foster home to maintain trust. Boarding would be devastating to his progress. He is currently on heartworm treatment and is the most compliant pill taker I have ever seen. Listen to your heart and step up for Archie.I received a call about Archie who was being held at an animal shelter in Mississippi. He wasn’t adjusting and was shutting down. I picked him up and brought him home. He collapsed in my lap, not responding but obviously grateful for comfort. Archie is blossoming quickly. His visit to the vet revealed he is 22 pounds and3-5 years old. He received all of his shots and was neutered. He is receiving treatment for hookworms and is heartworm positive. Despite having a couple of health issues, Archie is beginning to shine. He has become an active, wiggly young fellow. Archie wants to be a lap dog but is so excited, he stands and wiggles instead! He shakes hands!! He isn’t a big barker. His appetite has improved and he eats well now. Archie takes his meds easily. He would love playmates. He tries to play with our elderly JRT, but Scout says nope. I haven’t been able to expose him to children, so no recommendation on that. I think after he settles down he will be a great pet. He is already doing well on a leash. 100% of Archie*'s balance will be sent to whoever adopts Archie*.
Adopt Archie* and Receive Archie*'s Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Archie*'s new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Archie*'s current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Archie*, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Archie*'s contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Archie* was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Archie*’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Archie*’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Archie*’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
