About this Dog
Good morning guys this is Dean. He’s a four year-old male. We’re coming up on a year that he’s been with me which I never really expected to foster a dog for a year as I like to do short-term fostering so I can move onto the next dog in need. I need everyone to share his post. Let’s find him his own home.Dean is 100% potty trained. He’s roughly 14 pounds. He was heartworm positive but has gone through the treatment. We are just waiting to retest him. He doesn’t know many commands and he’s very stubborn. He’s very dog selective but with proper introduction meaning a couple days separated behind the gate usually does the trick. He loves to play ball. He loves being outside . He loves to snuggle. He’s very vocal and loves to announce to everyone that he’s in the room he does take a minute to warm up to people, but that’s just him.Dean came from the Montgomery County shelter, he was an Owner Surrender, his original family enlisted in the army and was shipped out. He came in with a sister into the shelter, but she was adopted from the shelterIf you know anyone looking for an athletic 14 pound dog who has a lot of attitude but a lot of love please share this picture with them. While he does love to do zoomies with other dogs around the yard, Dean would be a great candidate for an older couple that wants a single dog he is truly a lap dogDean catching up on some afternoon sun. A little about Dean He loves the outdoors. He would love a fenced in yard in a dog savvy home. Despite his small stature, he has a large personality. He loves to play and is very fast and athletic. He is very vocal and voices his opinion when the topic is food or going outside. He Blended in quickly with my personal pack and loves them after strict, proper introductions were done. He is 100 potty trained, not a marker. He does shed. He loves sleeping with humans, but is crate trained for nighttime or time outs.Dean is a bundle of love, he wants nothing more than to be petted and loved. He loves to be under the covers, gets along with other dogs. I can tell he would love to run zoomies in my yard with my pack, but because of his treatment, his exercise needs to be very limited. He’s not a big barker, but when he barks, he’s got a deep manly voice .I have no doubt that when Dean is ready to meet and mingle he’ll break the hearts of many. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dean~+ was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dean~+’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dean~+’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dean~+’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
