About this Dog
You can see more beautiful dogs by visiting our Adoptable Dogs page. Ellie Mae is a sweetheart with long luscious locks, just begging to be pet! She’s not that into digging, and would rather spend her time her time indoors, hanging out with her people, getting brushed and receiving tummy rubs and ear scratches. Playing with other dogs is also fantastic fun, and she’s been having a grand time paling around with her 7-pound doggie foster brother! She is a medium-energy pup with a very loving nature, and you can tell that she is truly enjoying foster life inside her very first home. Ellie Mae is friendly when meeting new people outside the house, and she will sit to be pet and loved on. When new people come into the home, it’s important that they be properly introduced to Ellie so that she knows they were invited and not intruders. This well-mannered lady walks excellent on leash, is crate trained, and knows “sit.” She’s not comfortable with the car yet, but we’re willing to bet that she will come around if offered some of her favorite treats of cheese, peanut butter, and tiny squirts of whipped cream! True to her guardian nature, Ellie Mae will bark to warn her people of threats near and far, both seen and unseen! Her ideal home will provide her with the opportunity to play, run, and bark freely - a 5’ fenced-in yard would be amazing! This kind girl is adaptable and open to accepting new environments and schedules, and will try to please her people. She would be fine as an only dog, but she would surely enjoy having a doggie friend to wrestle with, and maybe kids to teach her how to play with toys!
