Ruby is a super sweet cavalier who came to SFCR as a breeder release. She is loving life in foster care and learning all about what a dog's life should be. Ruby does have a grade III heart murmur. Chest x-rays and an echocardiogram did not show any signs of heart enlargement or disease progression and heart medications are not needed at this time. This is something that will need to be monitored with x-rays and/or an echocardiogram every 6 months or so. Ruby mingles very well with other dogs in her foster home and seems to really enjoy their company. She is working hard on her housetraining. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Financially stable family willing and able to keep up with Ruby's cardio care. Ruby would be happiest in a home with a canine companion. Ruby has been spayed and also had a much needed dental with a total of 15 extractions. She tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400 plus tax.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ruby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ruby’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ruby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ruby’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
