Sprocket is smart and will not give his tennis ball back. You have to wait for him to drop it and distract him to get is back. He is fast and will try to take his favorite toy right out of your hand. Sprocket understands to sit and wait politely for his ball, but he needs consistency with this. He’s affectionate, loyal, and will always make time for a cuddle session after a long day of play. He guy thrives on human attention and enjoys being in the thick of family life, whether it’s relaxing on the couch or going on an adventure. Sprocket is a smart, driven dog who needs an active home that can provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. How do I act when I first meet new people? Sprocket can be a bit protective of his space, and when meeting new people, he may bark a little if you enter his "territory." However, once he’s away from his crate, he’s friendly, outgoing, and quick to warm up to you. With a little patience, you’ll quickly see his affectionate and playful side. Other tips and tidbits: Sprocket was originally found as a stray back in 2022. At the time, it was estimated he was 3ish years old. We celebrate Sprocket's birthday 11/6/2019. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
