About this Dog
Sweet little Alister is affectionate, smart, learning basic commands and loves to cuddle. He loves all people, especially females and is great on a leash. He's also been good with most other dogs, although he can be selective about some canine companions with a lot of energy. There have been a few bigger males with a lot of energy he hasn't been fond of but he isn't mean or confrontational, just would rather be with dogs with the same energy. Allister would be a great single dog and does very well in playgroups with smaller dogs and dogs his own size. We are sure he would learn to trust any new dogs eventually, but he is a little shy and scared of some bigger, more energetic canines right now. He does enjoy one on one play or time with one person. He was not socialized during the time he was in a home before being dumped in a shelter. We rescued him on the day he was to be euthanized, and he truly deserves an amazing home after all he has been thru. He has not been around kids or cats at this time, but we believe he would want to play with cats. Al loves toys and sticks and is good at sharing. He has a moderate energy level and doesn't bark. Alister is a year old and under 40 lbs., completely vetted, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on preventatives. He also just received six months of heartworm prevention.

Adopt Alister and Receive Alister's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Alister's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Alister's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Alister, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Alister's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Alister was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Alister’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Alister’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Alister’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
