About this Dog
Chase was living in a high kill shelter with minimal resources in North Carolina. He was at the shelter for 3 months living in a run and not even getting walked as they do not really have volunteers. He was scheduled to be euthanized twice and we stepped up to save him. He was starting to go kennel crazy from lack of exercise and stimulation and he was literally hours away from being killed when we pulled him. Chase is about 2 years old and weighs 45lbs. He is a little thin after the stressful shelter life, so we are trying to put a few pounds on him. We believe he is a hound mix, and he is very handsome. He has beautiful golden eyes and the most genuine smile. Chase is a sweet dog who enjoys being around his people. He is still learning to distinguish between toys and other objects. He likes to play and go for walks. He gets stressed out by the crate, probably because he spent a long time in the shelter. However, he sleeps well on his own dog bed. He is making progress on house training. His foster has noticed that he needs to go outside right away when he gets excited indoors. He is very gentle when he takes treats and food from your hand. Chase tends to jump up and hug people, so he is practicing the "down" command and improving. He loves the dog park and socializes well with other dogs. At home, he either naps or follows you around curiously. He behaves well on a long lead in an unfenced yard, but he would prefer a fenced yard where he can run freely. He can also unlock gates, so he needs supervision or secure locks when outside. He is good with dogs, but he may chase cats if he sees them. We think he is just playful. Chase is up to date on all vaccines and preventives, neutered, and microchipped. He did test heartworm positive so is currently on medication. We did have a sponsor donate to his heartworm treatment. He will need another proheart injection in five months and that will be paid for by us at our vet. (around 75 dollars). This also doubles as a preventative so Chase will not need any monthly meds during this time. A little savings to pass on to his new adopter. :) Chase is located in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. Home visit, approved at application, and adoption donation of $200 required.

Adopt Chase and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Chase's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Chase's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Chase, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Chase's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Chase was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Chase’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Chase’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Chase’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
