About this Dog
Someone dumped five puppies on the side of the road :( Luckily, a couple of good samaritans saw them and took them in. Now they're healthy, vaccinated, and ready to find forever families. The vet estimates they were born in late-January and will be small dogs, as they were only 6-9 pounds at ten weeks old. They are super happy puppies who love attention, are eating and drinking well, and have started leash training. You can find more videos and pictures at the Facebook page their rescuer created: https://www.facebook.com/people/Fab-5-Rescue-Puppies/61557697131199 Here is what Mateo's foster mom has to say about him: "Mateo is the biggest of the litter, weighing 8.8 lbs. Very sweet, shy boy. He takes a little to warm up to you but once he does he loves to cuddle. His favorite spot to lay is on top of the cage, away from his siblings. He likes to play with his siblings but not as much as they do. He likes his alone time. He seems to be happiest when I bring him out to play with my pup. She's very close to his size. He would do great in a home with no more than 1 other dog. He takes baths well (was scared at first). He walks on a leash a little. He still is unsure at times. He would probably do better with more attention. I can only give so much with 5 puppies and my own pets. He would make a loving addition to your home." For adoption inquiries (**or if you can temporarily foster from late-May to early-July**), please contact Deb at [email protected] or 614-746-0938. Mateo is available for adoption on- and off-island.

Adopt Mateo and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mateo's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Mateo's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Mateo, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Mateo's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mateo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mateo’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Mateo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mateo’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
