About this Cat
George was born on March 31, 2018. We purchased him from a pet store where all the cats were noticeably unsocialized. We have had him for a year and he has came around to me, showing his true colors of being an absolute softy, cuddly bug, but he doesn’t like my boyfriend. He has never lashed out biting or scratching but he does hiss when he’s nervous or scared. My boyfriend and I have tried everything we can think of to win him over; no eye contact, slow approach, tons of treats to reward him not hissing, my boyfriend being the only one who provides him food and water, hand feeding, sitting on the floor and letting him approach my boyfriend on his own time, neutering, etc. I am not sure how much he weighs. I think ideally he would do good with a female owner, maybe an elderly lady who has the time to just stay home and bond with him. He really is such a sweetheart but for some reason he prefers females. He is okay with other cats but will be timid at first, like with any stranger. I don’t think he would do well with dogs but that’s only an assumption, he has never had contact with dogs. I really don’t want him to be euthanized or thrown outside on the streets, he needs a home that is willing to give him patience and unconditional love.
