About this Cat
This here is Winnie, named after Winifred Sanderson from Hocus Pocus because of her pretty orange color and her spunk. My sister and I found her in June, 2019 and I think she was about 3 weeks old. She wanted to keep the cat, but Winnie sort of became bonded to me (since my sister didn’t end up taking care of her– I did it all). I was heartbroken when I had to leave for school again at the end of summer, and leaving this goofy little ham. I found that when I returned for fall break, no one was taking care of her the way she deserved. My mom then took her in, in Santa Fe, NM. The issue is that my mom has 3 chihuahuas and 1 older male cat. Apparently, Winnie essentially dominated all of them. At first it was playful, but things over the past few months have escalated. We have tried many things to try to help calm her, but I think that maybe Winnie would prefer to be an only child. She has all of her shots and she was spayed and microchipped recently. She truly is a fun, goofy, loving cat though. She loves to play, but you’ll also wake up to see that she put down that cool-girl front and cuddled up to you for bed. She loves climbing and exploring. We don’t even know how she gets to some of the high places that she does. She just wants to hang out with someone and I think know that they love her as much as she “secretly” loves them. I could go on and on and tell so many stories from our past year with her. She’s the best and I am absolutely heartbroken that it has come to this, but I can’t have her at school. It wouldn’t be fair to her. I want her to have a good, fulfilling, loving life. As any mother would want for their child (as my family jokes that she is much like me). But yeah. If you think you’re not a cat person because you prefer dogs and their energy, this is the cat that will change your mind. I imagine that her birthday is 3 weeks before June 2nd, when we got her. I don’t think we picked a day or anything. My mom will not be returning until the beginning of June with her, so she won’t be able to enchant your home until then. I don’t know if she would like kids, maybe older ones. She liked my teenage siblings a lot and made it known with kisses. DEFINITELY no animals that are close to her size, if any at all. But yeah. She’s a cool cat and I hope someone loves her as much as I do and have

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Winnifred was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Winnifred’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
