About this Cat
Mr. Darcy is a 10 year old American Shorthair who has been a constant companion for me for eight years now! He is absolutely the sweetest cat I have ever met, much less owned. He loves pets or even just sitting nearby people (seriously, I think this cat loves everyone), and is constantly purring. As far as his medical history goes, he does need his teeth looked at but otherwise has had no issues over the years. I think his ideal home is with a family that has time to love and play with him and who enjoys a cat who is fairly low key. He's a little on the chubby side, so giving him a chance to play regularly would be great as I feel I don't have as much time to spend with him as I've had in the past. We have two dogs and one other cat and he's gotten along with them well, but I do think he can feel a little threatened by male cats. So, if you do have other cats then he may do better around females. If you live in a place where it's safe outside (maybe with a screened in porch or a fenced in back yard), he also used to enjoy going out occasionally and even now still whines at the door. Unfortunately, we sometimes hear coyotes in this area so he's been an indoor-only cat for the past four or five years because of that. He isn't the type to scratch furniture and prefers scratching posts wrapped in rope. He's also super easy to bathe, so long as you keep one hand on him to keep him from jumping out of the tub. We're rehoming Mr. Darcy because we just don't have as much time as we've had in the past to spend with him because of our new baby. I love this cat so much. He's been a constant companion for me and has been with me through very hard times. But, I'd love for him to be in a home where he can get as much attention when he wants it. He would come with his Litter Robot (he really likes it), food, maybe a cat shelf if you wanted it, and a medium sized cat tower.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mr. Darcy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mr. Darcy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
