About this Dog

Bruin will be 4 years old on March 10th. He is roughly 55 lbs. Bruin tore his ACL and had surgery in October. He is still healing from this. There is a chance of a possible heart condition and is on medication, but not confirmed yet. Bruin is the sweetest dog, but we were new dog owners to males (always had females) and did not realize if they were not neutered they could turn on each other. Well my sister came down with her new puppy (also not neutered) and all of a sudden Bruin started fighting his brother who he had always cuddled with, played with, and loved. Well, now all he wants to do is fight his brother and I also have a 2 1/2 year old at home and can't take a chance of her getting caught in the crossfire. We would neuter them, but Bruin almost didn't make it through his ACL surgery and most likely couldn't handle that at the moment. There is s possibilty that his heart issue is from grain-free food (that he is off of now) and could get better, but we just don't know yet. He really is the most lovable dog and just needs a home that does not already have another male dog. We love him to death and truly wish this wasn't the case. We don't want him to go anywhere, but just don't have a choice right now.

Adopt Bruin and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bruin's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Bruin receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Bruin, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Bruin's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bruin was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bruin’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Bruin’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bruin’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
