About this Dog

Doug showed up at our house at about 10 weeks old with a big gash on his head that was healing and just loved people. It was around the week of my birthday so my boyfriend said we could keep him. He went everywhere with us and I probably over spoiled him with people food because he cannot get enough of it and will go to all lengths to find any little piece (I tried cutting him off after realizing what I was creating lol but it was to late) so he soon had to become mainly outside or and inside outside dog but I don’t trust him in the house at night. He knows a few tricks (almost always have to give him treats but he could be broken of that I just couldn’t haha) sit, shake, lay down, roll over, wait (and then putting treats on his nose, usually more than one) and we were working on stay but he’s very impatient haha. He is the most lovable, energetic dog I think I’ve ever met which is some of why we just can’t keep him anymore. We found out we are expecting and he just isn’t very aware of his size and strength and would try to run up to the baby and just kinda trample it. I don’t think he would mean to by any means but we just weren’t expecting this and we can’t really handle a big dog in a little house with a baby and we wouldn’t be able to take him anywhere anymore. He loves other dogs and just wants to play so I would recommend a home with other animals. He’s good with little animals and he will nudge cats around but not hurt them. He’s an all around amazing dog and I really hope someone loves him as much as we do.

Adopt Doug and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Doug's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Doug receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Doug, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Doug's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Doug was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Doug’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Doug’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Doug’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
