About this Dog

I’m reaching out on behalf of my mother and a wonderful dog named “Callie/Charlie”. She is a 7 year old Mixed bread German Shepard/Golden Lab/St. Bernard from a breeder out of Black Forest, CO and we have had her for 5 years. Callie is family dog and by that I mean that she gets along with and loves kids. She has been around mine since my youngest was 1. She also likes cats oddly enough, seriously my cat can sleep on top of her. Callie is playful especially if you have a tennis ball. She has no medical conditions and all of her shots are up to date. Callie has one issue but it is sadly a large one in my house, Callie doesn’t like other dogs.(I have 2 of my own) As I said before, Callie belonged to my mother who about 2 years ago moved to a retirement community. As a result she no longer has a yard and had to walk Callie. Callie is not a small dog weighing in at over 80lbs, also since she has been with my mom Callie has been attacked by other dogs on walks 3 separate times. The 4th time a dog began to get aggressive with her she attacked first seriously injuring the other dog. I picked Callie up from my mother that very day as her community council would have and did (when they found out) demand action. I have 2 large dogs of my own already, currently we are keeping them segregated by floor and have not had any incidents. I fact our male boxer has come nose to nose with Callie on a few occasions without any violent behavior from Callie. We rehomed Callie when the original owner became concerned about dog conflict with his wife’s little dogs and was expecting a new baby. (her chip is still in his name) He is aware that he will be contacted to sign over or approve the transfer of her chip. I have searched for a new home for Callie for 2 months with no results and would want to keep her if I didn’t already have 2 dogs. Please help me find her a loving home with a yard? I can’t bear the idea of her being put down and living in my basement is no life for her.

Adopt Callie and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Callie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Callie receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Callie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Callie's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Callie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Callie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Callie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Callie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
