About this Dog

57lbs, between 1-2 years, UTD on all meds and vaccines, neutered, and microchipped came home with my foster mom as an actual foster for a night, before she decided I was so special that she wanted the opportunity to adopt me out to a friend or family member, instead of me getting adopted to a random family. I am from Anderson PAWS, and they should be able to attest to this, as they all had a good laugh with foster mommy coming back the very next day! The final picture here is me when I was pulled from the shelter, look at how healthy I am now! I have had a few potential adopters, but it wasn't my fault they couldn't adopt me, some of them had to move, and some of them went through some other life changes that made it to where they just weren't the most stable home. It's not cause I'm a bad dog and they didn't want me. I am a little over a year old most likely, and a very playful pup. I was considered a "rowdy playstyle" pup (rated this by Anderson PAWS) with other dogs, but I will play and play until I pass out! I LOVE kitties, but just be aware that I like to play with them. I would NEVER bite or hurt a kitty! I've lived with two kitties this whole time and have done so well! I love men and women, and *might* do well with children who respect animal's boundaries. Foster mommy has only seen me around a 1 year old, and I was so afraid of the noises, I tried to go hide in another room. I would never ever hurt a baby, but I'm a little worried I might accidentally make a baby take a tumble in my attempts to get away. I never actually knock the baby down though! I *might* have been a bait dog, because I'm a little nervous around: 1) male dogs on leashes (this is 100% *ONLY* when the dog on a leash nearby gets excited, and again, probably because I *might have* been a bait dog for dog fighting), 2) babies (they make such unpredictable loud noises!), 3) people raising their hands overhead quickly, and 4) newcomers. It only takes me a just a few minutes to warm up to you before I am trying to sit in your lap or play fetch with you! Peanut butter definitely helps though :) unfortunately my previous owner is a POS who abused me either way. Isn't it awesome that I turned out to be a little cute dorky angel baby anyways! My foster mom wishes she could find someone who needs a therapy dog, because I am very sweet and a special pup. I always have my eyes on my foster mom, but most likely I'm going to be right behind or next to you about 95% of the time unless I'm playing outside! She has been going through a very hard time lately, and I try to cuddle her a lot more, be more calm, and make sure she feels very loved. I do so well at making my humans feel better. Unless I'm a little afraid or just plain hyper outside from playing, I come when called. I love to play fetch! I cuddle A LOT, so if you are a person who likes a little personal space from their animals, I am not for you. I am vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. I may be a little allergic to ants (or possibly poison ivy or something in the back of her yard) but other than little bites or red spots, I'm okay after they heal. It looks like I probably landed in an ant pile when me and my doggy sister were playing and rolling around outside. When my foster mom got me, I had a severe ear infection, but she took care of me, and it's gone. I'm a little skinnier and smaller than I would have been if my previous owner cared at all about me and gave me a safe and well fed puppyhood. I am potty trained as long as I'm let out at regular intervals. I don't know sit or stay yet, but man I'm really smart and can learn soon! I have never even jumped the fence! At first my foster mom tried to kennel train me, but I was so afraid that I broke out of the (metal!) kennel. But guess what?! I NEVER even bothered anything in the house! No torn furniture and nothing even stolen off the counters! I really am such a loving, playful, and special pup! My foster mom thinks I would do best in a house with no little children that can make crazy noises or get knocked down if I have the zoomies. I have played well with foster mommy's other animals, but there was a time I got pretty defensive to another upset dog on a leash. Since I've only lived in a house with a fenced yard, it may be best to have an owner that will walk me if they don't have a fence, foster mommy has never tested me in an open area to see if I would stay, or if I would go exploring. Let's be safe rather than sorry, cause I'm going to love you so much and I don't want to get lost from my owner! My foster mom would fight tooth and nail to keep me if she could, but she's moving hours away to be with family soon for health reasons, and her family can't have an additional dog. My foster mom is terrified that she won't find a good adopter. My foster mom is scared of me EVER getting put back in a shelter. I was so scared there that I wasn't eating. My foster mom is having a really hard time adopting me out because I can tell she really loves me, and I love her. My foster mom doesn't expect any money that she's spent on me, because she just wants to make sure I'm going to be okay. My foster mom would like to do a home visit, but if she CAN'T, she would like a reference or two just to make sure that the people who want me have a safe home, and are safe people.

How will Mickey receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Mickey, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Mickey's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mickey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mickey’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Mickey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mickey’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
