About this Dog
Sullivan is a 2 year old husky/border collie mix and came to us through a mutt rescue. It became quickly apparent that Sully struggled with anxiety/reactivity and resource guarding. So to combat this and give him the absolute best chance, Sullivan has been through an extensive board and training program with Sit Means Sit and he has made such amazing progress!!! He’s been taught commands and coping mechanisms for his reactivity and has improved tremendously to the point where his episodes of reactivity are extremely rare. It needs to be said though that Sullivan is still a reactive dog and will always be a reactive dog. What he needs is a home with an experienced dog owner where he is the only dog and preferably the only furry pet, who can keep working with him on these issues and give him the attention and grace he deserves. His new owner will be able to take advantage of all the resources sit means sit has to offer including weekly group classes and one on one attention/support. They will be able to provide you with one on one catch up classes to learn all the commands and tricks that Sully knows well. He’s good with kids and does love to play with other dogs but as he just is pretty unpredictable with his food guarding behavior it is best he is the only dog in the home. He’s an incredibly smart, sweet, and perceptive dog that deserves to be able to work his mind every day and be challenged to learn more and more. Sully loves spending time with his people and we know that his forever home is out there waiting for him :)

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sullivan's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sullivan was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sullivan’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
