About this Dog
Olive is around three and was picked up the streets of Albuquerque. She is fixed, up to date on shots, microchipped and in good health. We’ve had her for about a year and she’s wonderful in all ways except for cat aggression. She’s attacked our cats three or four times and while socializing has helped, her hair trigger prey response ultimately made it unsafe to keep her. She’s between 80 and 90 lbs and her ears were cropped when we adopted her. Behaviorally, she's pretty excellent (aside from the cat thing). Some mild separation anxiety and if I'm honest her begging is a bit much. Someone accustomed to handling large young dogs is unlikely to have an issue. She sometimes jumps up and with her size it can be quite intimidating. She's good with strangers (our UPS drivers love her) and we haven't seen issues with her being around other large dogs, and responds well to recall in situations where other dogs are involved. She gets along famously with her brother, an older male pitty. She’s affectionate and cuddly and still has quite a bit of puppy in her. Very smart and has taken to obedience training. Very food motivated but has been able to open feed with another dog without conflict. She would be an excellent family member to a home without small furry animals. She’s alert and protective and extremely loyal. She loves sleeping in a chair in my office while I work, but also playing fetch, tug, and the occasional bout of the zoomies. Willing to drive quite a few hours to get her to the right home, so if you're in a neighboring state and a big lovable goofball please don't hesitate to inquire. Breaks my heart to reach this decision but the present situation it isn't fair to her or our other pets.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Olive's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Olive was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Olive’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
