About this Cat
Minx is a cat after this volunteer’s heart… ❤️ He might be described as socially awkward - kinda shy, but still wants to interact with people who will be respectful toward him and understand when he needs his space. He prefers the company of cats over most people. He can be selective about the humans he chooses to love, so earning his trust is key. He’s built kinda funny - he’s tall, with long slender legs and tail, and a somewhat pudgy middle. He loves playing with wand toys which can be a great tool for bonding and maybe working off some of that pudge! Minx was adopted to a single man that he loved with a cat friend he got along with, but due to hard times, he and his cat pal were surrendered. The experience was very hard on Minx and he was quite scared at the shelter. While he’s come a long way, he really will be much happier in a home. Minx needs a cat savvy home without small children where he’ll be given time to decompress and the space and respect to build trust with his new person. He also enjoys looking out the window at the birds on the feeder, so bonus if his new home has a bird feeder outside. With slow introductions, he may get long with another cat in the home. Volunteer’s note: I was working in the kitten room where Minx was allowed to roam freely. I loved his face, big yellow eyes, and super shiny black fur! He clearly wanted to interact but was a little nervous about saying hello. While I was taking photos of kittens, he would jump up on the cat tree to watch the birds on the feeder outside, then hop off to come see what I was doing or to play with a toy or sniff at some kittens in the lower cages. Several times he tried to get my attention as he played with toys, like he was saying “hey lady! See my moves?!”. He did let me pet him a little (we’d just met!), but I could tell by his body language when it was time to just let him be. In a home with an owner who understands cats, I am sure Minx would be a wonderful companion. (Nina B.) Minx was born August 17, 2020.

Adopt Minx and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Minx's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Minx's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Minx, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Minx's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Minx was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Minx’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Minx’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Minx’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
