About this Dog
Approx. DOB: 5/21/20 Current Weight(as of 7/30/20): 8.2 Lbs Adoption Fee: $350 includes 1 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. Furry Kids' will also cover the costs of all upcoming puppy vaccinations if taken to our vets! Xavi was surrendered at a rural shelter by his owners because they said he would get underfoot and because they were seniors they were worried that they would trip over him. We believe Xavi is an Aussie mix or possibly a Schnauzer mix and should be approx 35-45 Lbs as an adult. Xavi is in a foster home, and yes he does tend to get underfoot and weave in and out of your legs. He is a bubbly little guy and LOVES to play and race around the yard. He is learning to chase a ball but doesn't know how to bring it back. He has several foster playmates and he very much wants to play with them - but they are older and only play briefly. Xavi definitely needs a standard fenced yard, no exceptions. Xavi is also a smart puppy, he is learning quickly the rules of going potty outside, but he is a puppy and it will take time for him to learn and master this skill. Xavi is in the puppy biting phase, he will race up behind you and nip at the back of his foster Mom's shorts, legs, shoes to get attention. He needs a family that knows how to help him through this phase and understand what behaviors are not appropriate. Please no toddlers for him at this point in his life, he would never intentionally hurt one but he is also a toddler that doesn't understand the difference between right and wrong behavior. Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting/adopting one of them just fill out a application at www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch.

Adopt Xavi and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Xavi's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Xavi's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Xavi, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Xavi's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Xavi was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Xavi’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Xavi’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Xavi’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
