About this Cat
Millie lived outside for much of her life. She was being fed in a colony on a main road in Hempstead for 2 years. We don’t know if she was born outside or if she was dumped by her owner. When cats started getting injuries at this colony, we realized it was time to get them to safety. Millie was the friendliest of the bunch. She didn’t need to be trapped - her feeder just picked her up and put her in the carrier. Because of this relaxed behavior, her feeder took her in as a foster. Millie is a gentle beauty. She is nervous with new situations, but she does adjust with time and slow steps. Millie likes being pet, though she is sometimes nervous when your hand first reaches out. As soon as she realizes you are kind, she rolls over, purrs, and enjoys the loving. Though shy, she is very handleable. Millie even allows claw cutting! Millie loves to play with her toys and has a favorite little mouse. She’s a smart little cookie too. Millie spends the day out of her playpen lounging in the comfy cubby provided for her or exploring the room. But once she hears feeding time, she runs back into her playpen and waits for that delicious wet food! She loves food. All food! Dry, wet, treats...They all make Millie very happy. She also loves being able to sleep on a nice cozy blanket rather than outside on the dirt. Will you give this shy girl a home? She’s looking for someone who will understand all she’s been through and give her time to become that loving, cuddly cat that we know she is. Millie is vetted, spayed, and felv/fiv neg. She is estimated to be around 5 years old.

Adopt Millie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Millie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Millie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Millie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Millie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Millie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Millie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Millie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Millie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
