About this Dog
Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending! DOB: 05/01/2012 Requires another dog in home: No Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes, but best with a dog her size or larger Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Unknown Requires a fenced yard: No Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hello, my name is Smurfette. My foster family calls me “Ette”, so you may too if you’d like! I am a healthy lovely and very friendly adult female Bichon Frise who has wonderful manners, if I do say so myself. I am observant of my foster family and very curious about the activities in the home. I am a fast learner…as a matter of fact, I quickly learned how to exercise on the treadmill shortly after joining my foster family. So as you can see, I am really quite brilliant!!! I exercise on the treadmill twice a day in order to maintain my girly figure…I’m really not vain, I just want to control my weight! I love being outdoors (sniffing everything to get the news of the day) and I am really quite the people watcher…after all, you humans can be pretty silly!! I live with some furry foster sibs and I enjoy wagging my tail at them because I love having friends. I’m excited to be around them, and…well, they’re silly! I have not had much experience with little people. My foster mom says that I am “perfect with potty training” and I agree with her. She takes me out a lot, so I know and remember where I’m supposed to do my personal business. I am crate and leash trained, though my body tends to freeze a bit when I’m tethered to the leash. My favorite activities include riding in the pup wagon, hanging out on the patio, and couch surfing on movie night with my foster fam. I also enjoy the company of my foster siblings and I am a big fan of my foster dad…he’s super cool!! I love, love, love backrubs and just being petted anytime and anywhere. I am a happy girl and was even wagging my tail on my first day with my foster family!! I am a lovely pack member who enjoys hanging out with my humans and quite honestly, my foster family is very “enamored” with me. They say that I will “make a wonderful family member” (totally true!), so if you are looking for a distinguished, well-mannered lady who will completely enrich your life and shower you with unconditional love, then you really need to hurry up and come take me to my new furever home. I will be here awaiting your arrival!!...What are you waiting for??? GO!!! Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***

Adopt Smurfette and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Smurfette's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Smurfette's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Smurfette, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Smurfette's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Smurfette was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Smurfette’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Smurfette’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Smurfette’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
