About this Cat

Approximate age 3 years. She was first my wife's mother's cat. My mother took her in when my mother-in law could no longer take care of her and has had her since 2/2020. She already had a cat about the same age as Mu-shu. My mother will be moving at the end of the month and will not be able to take either cat to her new place. It was a difficult decision to let them go, but one she had to make. She and I want to find a good home for her. Mu-shu will extremely loyal to her owner. She loves attention. She does well with dogs (mother-in-law had a pomeranian that she got along well with, and she had no problem with our dog when she was at our house) but tends to like to chase other cats around the house, which drove my mom's other cat crazy (her other cat is reclusive and doesn't do well with such an "outgoing" cat). The permanent home that would suit her best is a place where there are no other cats, or perhaps another outgoing cat that she can engage with. She also seems to be ok with dogs. She has been an indoor cat her whole life and seems to have no interest in going outdoors. I had her spayed in 2/2020 right before my mother took her in. She is in good health. She is litter box trained. There will likely be about an adjustment period to her new owner and home. During that time she will likely hide under a couch or bed and come out when on one's around. But after a few days she will warm up to you and will be yours forever after that. It breaks my heart and my mom's heart to see her go. But we already have our limit of house pets and just don't have a place to keep her. For serious interested parties I am willing to travel outside Seattle-Tacoma area to bring her to you if necessary. Thank you for your consideration.

Adopt Mu-shu and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mu-shu's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Mu-shu receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Mu-shu, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Mu-shu's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mu-shu was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mu-shu’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What is Dogecoin?

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Mu-shu’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mu-shu’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
