About this Dog
Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Gender: Female Estimated Date of Birth: December 12, 2017 Size: 60 lbs Location: Dallas, GA RESCUING CEELY Ceely, formerly known as Citrine, ended up at Cherokee County Animal Control where she was labeled "rescue only." She was found as a stray with a rope around her neck. We don't know much about her past, but it was obvious it was not a good one. She appeared to be healthy aside from some skin issues (Demodex). Ceely passed temperament testing, but the shelter staff said she appeared to be a bit fearful of men, was more confident outside, and was more shy indoors. She spent over a month at Animal Control before she got her freedom ride on December 12, 2019. ABOUT CEELY Ceely is now enjoying the foster life and on the hunt for her forever family. She is fully vetted, crate-trained and housebroken. She loves being outside, going for walks, playing in the creek, and chasing balls. She also loves cuddling on the sofa with her doggie friends or in the recliner with her foster mom. She currently has multi doggie foster-siblings (small and large dogs and male and female) and she has the most adorable play-bows and hops when playing with them in the yard. She's even good with the farm animals including pigs, chickens and horses! Ceely is still a bit nervous around strangers and tends to bark when she's afraid. Her foster family is working on this and she is showing lots of improvement. With slow, proper introductions, Ceely warms up to people and will lick their hands. She takes treats gently, is extremely sweet, and loves a good belly rub. She is learning to enjoy being a much loved member of a family. It is apparent that humans were previously unkind to her, so Ceely is looking for a forever family that will give her the some time to adjust and continue learning that not all people are cruel. She is a wonderful girl who would do well in a home with another dog and even horses! She is probably not suited for a home with cats as she seems to be overly interested in her foster family’s barn cats. She would do best in a home with no young children and would do best in a home with no children or older children ages 15+. She needs a dominant structured dog savvy family that will instill positive rules and boundaries will her. She absolutely loves all other dogs and will need to build trust with her new people. She also needs a home with a secure fenced in yard to run and play in. Building trust is the key with her and she is so worth it because you will have an amazing dog. She would do best in a home without a lot of visitors coming and going since it takes her time to get used to people. Give her a chance - she is so deserving of a forever home. The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Ceely, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ceely's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ceely was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ceely’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
