About this Dog
Lady Bella is a gorgeous Belgian Malinois mix who is approximately 2 years old. When she first came to us, she was very thin; like many of our rescues, she had not been cared for at all. Lady Bella is now about 56 beautiful pounds, thanks to the love and care that her wonderful foster family has given her. Lady Bella has come a very long way since coming into our Safe at Last Family, but she still has special needs, as she was not treated well by her previous owners. She is a total sweetheart, but she is shy around new people, especially men. With time, she does just fine, as evidenced by how amazingly well she is doing in her current foster home. Lady Bella absolutely loves her 6' 4" human foster brother, as well as her human friend Kevin who is also a big fella. She loves her foster mom and grandmother, but she is still unsure of new men coming into the household. There is ABSOLUTELY NO AGGRESSION - not a single aggressive bone in this girl's body. She is just shy/unsure at first with people she does not know. She takes a while to warm up to new women, but with men it takes longer. She seems to sense, however, when folks are true dog lovers and think she is the "Bees Knee's." She responds so very well to that love and reassurance. Lady Bella positively adores her canine foster brothers, especially Diesel who is a very big American Bulldog/pussycat! He adores her as well. Her other foster brother is old and basically lays around most of the day in his bed. Bella respects this and is great with him. She is in a foster home with no cats; so we do not know for certain how she would do. (There were cats in her prior foster home in WV, and she did well, with very gentle correction. Again, though, we do not at this time have firsthand knowledge of how Bella would be with kitties.) Bella is doing great going outside to potty, and her foster mom tells us that Bella is now totally potty-trained. When indoors, she is out and about in the house, but she has a kennel as her safe place. In any adoptive home, it will be a must that Bella will have a large kennel inside to use as her "den/safe space," especially when strangers come to her home. This is also where she feels the safest when her family leaves. Her foster family has taught her basic commands - she will sit, shake and lie down when instructed. She is a smart girl and so very much wants to please! Bella also has a high energy level. She therefore needs an active family who likes to take walks/hikes or just be outdoors to give her exercise and play. Keeping in mind her anxiety about new strange men, it is also a must that her adoptive family be understanding and patient and willing to give positive guidance and security to this girl. Lady Bella is a wonderful, sweet and gorgeous girl who was treated badly by whomever had her before she was rescued. Despite all that she has been through, she remains a gentle, sweet soul, with so much love to give. Please, help us find this deserving girl her special forever home. If you are interested in committing to Bella -- for her whole life -- please register on our website (www.safeatlast.net). Once you receive your password on your email account, please log back on to our website to complete the SAFE AT LAST online adoption application. Once we have your application, we will be in touch by email to schedule the phone interview. Our process is very straightforward but does involve the phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment. An adoption fee of $250 also applies. Finally, Lady Bella is being fostered in the Morris/Oneonta, NY area. All approved adopters are required to come to the foster home to complete the adoption. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected]. Thank you for your interest in our rescues. NY Rescue Registry No. RR 087.

Adopt Lady Bella and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lady Bella's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Lady Bella's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Lady Bella, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lady Bella's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lady Bella was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lady Bella’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
