About this Cat
Mia is almost a senior cat, she turns 11 in May 2021. We adopted her and her brother Moxie (pictured) as kittens from the city shelter - we couldn't leave with just one! Moxie died last year of cancer, a few months after we had our first baby. Mia was okay with the baby stage, but she is not a fan of the toddler. She spends her entire day hidden away from the screaming and running, but she's an incredibly affectionate cat and would prefer to be on a lap 100% of the time! Our growing family is no longer a good fit for Mia. We have space issues, allergy issues, and a cat that would be happier elsewhere. Mia is shy around new people at first, but if someone new is at the house more than an hour or two, she will find her way onto their lap! She is the perfect lap/nap/reading cat. She wants lots of attention and is constantly purring.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mia’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Mia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses.
