About this Cat

This is super hard to even do, but due to certain circumstances we need to rehome our baby. Cali is about 3 years old. We made her birthday July 28th, 2018. She is a domestic shorthair. She has no medical requirements, but is missing some fur on her lower back from stress biting which is part of the reason for rehoming. We have a 1 1/2 old female Shih Tzu and 2 other cats, one male/one female. Cali gets along great with our dog and our boy cat, but not our female. Cali absolutely loves adult humans and affection. We are not sure how she is with children. We know now for sure that she is a one cat home. We wholeheartedly believe that she would be an amazing indoor cat for anyone who does not own any other cats. Her and our 7 year old female cat do not work together which is why we are rehoming her. Cali came into our lives last July and is fully accustomed to living full time inside of a home and cannot be an outdoor cat for any reason. We want to make sure that she continues to be an indoor cat. We have vet records, Cali is perfectly healthy other than the missing fur on lower back due due to stress cleaning which will go away when she is not under the same roof as other cats. She is fixed as well! Cali is due for her yearly checkup at any point this year, but is a perfectly healthy, tiny but full of personality kitty who deserves a great home with love and long pets and treats, just no other cats! Feel free to contact us with any questions about our sweet girl.

Adopt Cali and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cali's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Cali receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Cali, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Cali's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cali was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cali’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Cali’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cali’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
