About this Dog
Seeking a hound dog?! Meet Cricket! Cricket is a 2 year old petite plott hound mix weighing 38 pounds. Cricket is slowly adapting to life outside of the shelter--she spent over a year in an outdoor shelter, so she's not used to the every day happenings of life quite yet. When Cricket got to her foster family she stayed in her crate or hid behind the couch. Slowly she warmed up and began to show her playful personality. She was timid and shy at first, but she has blossomed into a playful, goofy, and sweet girl and has all the love to give to a patient family who is looking for a forever friend.. She does well with other dogs and children, but she does like to zoom and chase them around, so cats are probably not a good idea for her. Cricket is crate trained and does well in her crate. She rests and sleeps in her crate as well as using it when she needs to relax. She is about 95% housetrained--having an occasional accident due to the transition from shelter dog to inside pet. She is working on her leash manners, therefore she will need more training in this area. Cricket is seeking a home with a secure, fenced in yard where she can run and be free. Home must have another dog to help her gain confidence and continue to teach her how to be an inside dog. Cricket is also spayed and up to date on all required vaccinations. Cricket will be available for adoption on or after 3/10/2024 with Paws Across Pittsburgh KL# 16182

Adopt Cricket and Receive Cricket's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cricket's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Cricket's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Cricket, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Cricket's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cricket was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cricket’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cricket’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cricket’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
