About this Dog
Meet Max - a 1-year-old Jack Russell Terrier Mix who has very long legs, like he may have some greyhound in him. He weighs 17.4 # and needs to bulk up about 4 # to be a perfect size. He loves to eat and should be fed three times a day. Max loves to stand up on his hind legs to give his humans a hug. He has plenty of love to give and even has a heart shaped brown marking on his left side. If you use your imagination, he has another heart shape on the top of his nose. Max loves belly rubs and sleeping on his back with all four legs up in the air. He also loves to be outdoors but be sure he is tethered because he is a flight risk. A fenced yard would be ideal but is not a deal breaker if you don't have one. Max is crate trained, house trained and good on a leash. He is working on learning not to pull his human when walking on a leash. Max is good with people, children and other dogs. He has not been cat tested. Max just found his voice and will bark when something is going on like someone is walking up the street or they have a dog with them. He will also whimper sometimes, especially if he wants to play with another dog that he sees. Max rides extremely well in the car. In fact, you don't even know he is back there! He either looks out the window or lays down on the seat, often falling asleep. Max is very smart as Jack Russell Terriers are! The foster would love to keep him but I already have a senior dog who doesn't like Max's energy. Give Max a chance. You won't regret it for a second. His one floppy one perky ear just need a furever home. Max will be available for adoption on 7-27-2025. Paws Across Pittsburgh, Pgh PA 15144 apply today pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt KL#16182

Adopt Max and Receive Max's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Max's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Max's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Max, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Max's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Max was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Max’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Max’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Max’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
