About this Dog
Meet Pixie! She's around one year old and a lean 36 lbs. She could have any number of breeds in her mix, but her foster is leaning towards beagle, coonhound, and foxhound. She's got the friendliness demeanor and just wants to find her best friend! She is full of spunk and energy and loves to be around her people. She is doing really well in a crate and as long as she's taken out often, she's doing well with housebreaking for a dog coming from an overcrowded shelter. She's a huge fan of toys, so hopes her adopter will provide her with endless toys and chew toys. She will do best in an active household and especially while she's still young, best for someone who is home more often than they are away because she LOVES to run back and forth with a toy in her mouth for long periods of time. She hasn't been in a foster home too long, but is already making major improvements with controlling her energy. She would love someone to take her on daily walks and maybe a good candidate to learn how to catch a frisbee.Do you have an active lifestyle and want a best friend for life? Please put your application in for Pixie! She'd love to find her forever home!Pixie is available for adoption through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA, KL #16182, and is accepting applications now.

Adopt Pixie and Receive Pixie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pixie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Pixie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Pixie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Pixie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pixie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pixie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pixie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pixie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
