About this Dog
Meet Abraham (Abe) – A Tender Soul Looking for His PersonAbraham—Abe to his friends—is a 3-year-old, 50-pound American Staffordshire terrior mix with a heart as big as his head. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and crate trained (though he needs a little time to adjust in new spaces). Abe is ready for his forever home—one grounded in kindness, patience, and unconditional love. This sweet boy already knows “sit” and “down,” and with a gentle hand and positive reinforcement, he’s eager to keep learning. Abe thrives with a steady companion—someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to move at his pace. He’d also benefit greatly from a confident, well-adjusted dog friend—someone to show him the ropes, help him build confidence, and share in some joyful play.Abe takes time to warm up. Sudden movements or disruptions in routine can leave him uneasy, so a calm, structured environment is ideal. But once he lets you in, his love is incredibly special—he’ll lean in for cuddles, flop over for belly rubs, and flash his goofy side (especially during his adorable “cobbing” moments). He’s happiest outside—chasing balls, exploring the yard, and munching on whatever he can find. Keeping a stash of bully sticks, antlers, or other chewables is a must for this guy. He attended an 8 week confidence training course and did amazing week after week.Abe would do best with someone who works from home at least part-time and in a quieter home with older kids (12+). With the right environment and a little canine companionship, Abe blossoms—learning, trusting, and loving in his own beautifully unique way.He may not run up with a wagging tail on day one, but if you're patient and kind, Abe will show you just how deep and meaningful a slow-built bond can be.
Contribute to Abraham's Stash!

100% of Abraham's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Abraham.
Adopt Abraham and Receive Abraham's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Abraham's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Abraham's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Abraham, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Abraham's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Abraham was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Abraham’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Abraham’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Abraham’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
