Ty was found outside in February 2024 and adopted in to an indoor home in April 2024. He loved his indoor home but started to have some issues with not using a litterbox. Instead of working through his issues he was returned to us . We are glad he returned to us in time. Within 48 hours of his return he developed a potentially fatal urethral obstruction. He is doing very well since he was discharged from the hospital . When he came back to us he weighed a staggering 24 lbs, he is done to 21 lbs, but still has to lose another 7-9 lbs.. his ruinations need to be closely monitored. He MUST EAT HIS PRESCRIPTION DIET. An OTC diet is NOTacceptable. He is eating Hill’s C/D metabolic to help maintain his urinary health and help achieve weight loss. He is estimated to have been born in 2021. Ty is currently living at a foster home in York, PA He is a lovebug, a lap cat if you can handle his size. Ty’s adoption donation is $90 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter/spay. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Titanic ( Ty) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Titanic ( Ty)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Titanic ( Ty)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Titanic ( Ty)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
