About this Dog
Age: 1 year Size: 65 lbs Estimated breed: Pit bull/Staffordshire terrier mix Meet Cebu, the viral sensation who escaped death twice already in his short 1.5 years of life! Originally found as a stray wandering an apartment complex in Georgia back in April, he was taken to the county shelter. He patiently waited for his turn at a forever family which unfortunately didn't come, placing him on the euthanasia list at the end of June. But then, salvation! He was adopted just before his deadline and headed off into a new home! Sadly, this home only kept him for two days before returning him to the shelter, stating that he was "too much" for an apartment but that he was a sweet boy who did well with the two cats in the home. Back into the shelter he went, and it became clear that after months living in a kennel, Cebu was losing hope. He ended up back on the euthanasia list in early July, which is when our foster saw his face and knew she needed to help him. With only hours to spare and a mountain of logistics to overcome, a team of dedicated volunteers managed to pull off the impossible. Multiple transport volunteers immediately jumped in their cars and drove combined over 10 hours in one day to ensure Cebu left the shelter before his 7pm deadline and got him to his savior and temporary foster in North Carolina. He is finally safe and will never see the inside of a shelter again! We are still getting to know Cebu, but one thing is for sure - he's the sweetest, goofiest, blockhead pittie! Cebu is like a giant toddler, with tons of energy and acting on pure instinct and the first thought that pops into his chunky head. After spending months in a kennel, he's got a ton of energy and doesn't always know the best outlet for it yet. He's doing well in his crate and sleeps there throughout the night and for naps during the day! According to the shelter, he's lived with cats and done well. Cebu is decompressing and learning how to "dog" in a foster home, and will undergo professional training prior to placement in a forever home. Cebu is a giant slab of marble, just waiting to be carved into something beautiful. We can't wait to see this deserving boy shine! To adopt Cebu, please apply on our website! https://www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our dogs. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training. PA Kennel License #18366

Adopt Cebu and Receive Cebu's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cebu's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Cebu's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Cebu, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Cebu's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cebu was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cebu’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cebu’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cebu’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
