Hi, my name is Brooksie! I’m a charming cat with quite a story! After being abandoned on the streets as a kitten, I was rescued by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan who helped me find my way to a loving foster home. At just around 1 year old, I’m thriving in my foster mom’s care and soaking up all the wonderful perks of indoor life. I’m still discovering the joys of playtime, though I can get a little overstimulated, so I would thrive best in a home with older children or perhaps no kids at all. Don’t let that fool you—I’m incredibly sweet and getting better every day! I get along well with other kitties, but I’d be just fine being your one and only! I have a big personality filled with an even bigger capacity for love. Some of my favorite activities include chasing string toys, wrestling with catnip toys, and, of course, mealtime! Wet food is my absolute favorite—nothing makes me happier! I’m neutered, vaccinated, combo-tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped. I’m all set to find my forever home! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Brooksie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Brooksie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Brooksie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Brooksie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
