Always dreamed of having your own little leopard? Meet Tsarina, our miniature jungle royalty! Tsarina is a 7 year old gorgeous bengal cat with a mysterious story. She came to the streets of Philadelphia all the way from Russia, and no one knows how. Because of the crazy adventure, Tsarina can be a little shy at first, hiding in new environments. However, once she learns you are no threat to her, she becomes a lovely sweetheart who is both chill and affectionate. She enjoys coming up to you for pets, rolling around on the floor or in her bed, getting her beautiful hair brushed and groomed, and zooming all over the place for exercise. Although significantly less destructive than an actual wild cat, we can see her energy and curiosity grow as she opens up more - always chasing a toy mouse or jumping up and down her cat tree. As indicated in her name, Tsarina is also a true royalty with great manners - always gentle and graceful, even during vet visits and med time. However, Tsarina is a low-key gal who likes affection with some distance (which might change as time goes on - she did just go through a lot). She isn't the most cuddly, but she definitely likes to sit next to you quietly while you're working, or come to you for affection when she's ready. Ideally, we would love to see her letting her guards off gradually with someone patient and can give her the time she needs to adjust. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tsarina was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tsarina’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tsarina’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tsarina’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
