About this Cat
Helen is a chatty senior girl who is young at heart! Affectionately referred to as “Little Lady” by her foster parents, Helen is 70% lap kitty, 30% curious explorer. She loves to investigate closets, boxes, tunnels, blanket forts, kitchen cabinets, and most of all, laundry hampers! Her favorite toys are a laser pointer and catnip soft toys. She gets a few “zoomies” every day and will play on her own with a catnip toy when her foster parents aren’t available. She is not a shy kitty and will greet anyone that comes into your home! While she loves to greet strangers, she knows her limits when it comes to getting affection from strangers. She will let you know when she’s done with a bat of her paw. When in doubt, offer her your hand, if she gives a head boop that means yes to more pets! Once you gain her trust, which doesn’t take long, her affection is practically unlimited and comes in the form of head boops, lap time, biscuits, head and neck scratches, and even a small amount of happy drooling! Helen has mild hyperthyroidism, a fairly common condition in older cats. She is on twice daily medication which she takes readily when hidden with food or treats. Helen sometimes gets very excited for meals, she even squeaks with excitement while waiting for her food, which her foster parents find so adorable. She sometimes eats too quickly and regurgitates after eating. So far she has responded well to slower feeding by splitting her meals in half portions. This has also gotten less frequent since starting medication for her hyperthyroid! Helen would do best in a child free home with people who can respect her boundaries until she’s fully warmed up to you. She has lived with dogs and cats in the past and her foster parents could see her doing well with other calm pets. You can follow more of Helen's adventures in foster care on Instagram! Adopt Helen and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Helen's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Helen's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Helen, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Helen's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Helen was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Helen’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Helen’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Helen’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
