About this Dog
Babe was found tied to a tree and malnourished. I am guessing that she had never really been outside because she was reactive to everything initially. Over the years I have watched Babe grow, and not be so reactive to everything in the world. She is reactive towards other dogs, and will chase cats squirrels, etc..
Babe is about 65-70 pounds and looks like a pit grey hound mix. Babe‘s favorite is to roll around and lay in the grass. Babe is a sweet, smart, beautiful and loving dog. Once she trusts you, her personality really shines. She can even be a prankster from time to time. Babe would do best in an environment with adults only, no small children. Being with someone that works from home would be ideal. She would be better with a large backyard and a walkable area that does not have a ton of other dogs. Babe is a natural hunter and would make a great security dog with the right training.
An ideal situation would be a rescue and or person who is willing to work with Babe on her fears and offer training. I did have a trainer for her for a period of time through PAWS and she responded very well. Babe is absolutely food motivated.
Babe is presently located in Philadelphia and lives with my ex partner. He has been suffering health issues and recently had a heart attack and is unable to keep her. I am hoping to find a resource that will see all the beautiful soul that is Babe and work with her to overcome her fears.

How will Babe receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Babe, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Babe's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Babe was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Babe’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Babe’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Babe’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
